The Writing Mindset
The joy of writing is inextricably linked to the joy of reading.
Millions of people commit words to paper for millions of distinct reasons, but not all do so because they are experiencing the euphoria of the idea — the sudden, eye-opening insight or mind-expanding notion that makes one grab any pencil stub or scrap of paper at hand before one’s clarity begins to fade. How similar that feeling is to the one that holds a reader transfixed, to the deep urge that makes one scramble after characters and events by flipping page after page in something akin to frenzy. I am among the fortunate who know both these feelings, and the works highlighted here showcase my efforts to foster those powerful feelings in others.
